Nothing makes me feel older than not connecting with young people's music.
I really don't get this pop-punk thing. I don't really get any of these bands;
Blink
Bowling for soup
Simple plan
Good Effing Charlotte
and so on....they LOOK like rockers but the sound like the Monkees.
You kids turn that down! As I reach for Frampton comes alive.

You know, I always liked to think that Blink 182 and friends was the gateway drug to the harder stuff. If you liked 311, maybe you'd be open to your older brothers Circle Jerks albums. But the kids just like to stitch a Cirle Jerks patch to their back pack --- but they don't like to listen to that angry music. What's wrong with them? It's like a musical genre gone backwards. How wierd would it be if all the inner city kids loved NWA and then the following generation of inner city kids embraced MC Hammer?
YOu know what's bad? When you hear bands with 40 year old members singing about teenage angst. What is that?
Exactamundo! that's why my band only sings about plane crashes.
At least you've heard these bands. I couldn't name one song by any of them.
You are lucky! my gym sees to it that I get to hear many of them...sadly.
how do you relate to plane crashes?
Uhhhh.......... well at least in the movies they had lots of drama, and a cross section of people from all walks of life locked in a struggle of life and death.
that or just read it from the paper to music...either way.
